  4. What is PowerReplace?

  7. Beginner:
  8. Beginners of PowerReplace should read the documentation “For beginners”.

  10. News in the version 4.5:
  11. Many important improvements in the version 4.5. Please read the file “Version 4.5 readme”.

  13. SelfReplace Maker:
  14. SelfReplace Maker is a complemental tool. Before trying it you need at first know how to work the PowerReplace application. See “SelfReplace Maker Doc”.

  18. - the description of bug with the PowerReplace version number, 
  19. - your filter file and 
  20. - your text file concerned.
  21. It will be helpful for me to eliminate the bug. Thank you.

  23. Filter file collection:
  24. I have a plan to collect filter file and then to pubilish them with PowerReplace distribution. All users, registered or no, may send me your own filter file to contribute my collection. 
  25. It is important to:
  26. - give your filter filer a significant name, 
  27. - put your name in the "About this filter file" box, and
  28. - give a small description of your filter.

  49. - If click at the icon of a filter file, just open PowerReplace application. Don't convert this filter file.
  50. - New file location = old file location + 16.
  51. - If error during conversion, delete the temporary file.

  53. Filter File Format:
  54. To make a text file into filter, PowerReplace adds some resource into it, then changes its creator. That's all. Filter file is still a text file, and you can modify it using any text editor, too!
